Jazz Drummer and Drum Teacher
Von Baron is from Kansas City and attended Berklee College of Music in Boston. He has played drums professionally for almost 40 years, becoming a first call drummer in Seattle, Honolulu and throughout Japan.
Some of the musicians Von has played with include Benny Golson, Stanley Jordan, Eddie Henderson, Don Ho, Ota san, Phillip Strange, The Honolulu Jazz Quartet, The Future Jazz Quartet, Zenshou Otsuka, Tommy James and Stafford Hunter (Duke Ellington Orchestra), Geoffrey Keezer, Shelly Berg, Pete Christlieb, Ira Nepus, Henry Kapono, Grammy Award winning guitarist Jeff Peterson, Theresa Bright and Matt Catingub & The Honolulu Symphony Pops among others.
Von has taught over 10,000 private drum lessons and also runs his online Jazz Drum School. There his passion for teaching helps drummers worldwide improve their Jazz drumming skills with step-by-step courses.
He also has a drum lessons YouTube channel and a drumming blog where students enjoy Von’s warm and personable way of teaching. Von shares tips for improving your drumming, recommended music and drumming gear, music business, and drummer health.
Von currently lives in the Kobe metropolitan area. He’s looking forward to many more wonderful and rewarding years of performing in the Kansai music community and throughout Japan.

アメリカ・カンザスシティ出身で、ボストンのバークリー音楽大学を卒業したボン・バロンは、約40年にわたりプロのドラマーとして活動しています。シアトル、ホノルル、そして日本各地でファーストコール・ドラマーとして活躍してきました。

さらに、ボンはYouTubeのドラムレッスンチャンネルやドラムに関するブログも運営しており、親しみやすいスタイルで教えています。ブログでは、ドラムの上達法、おすすめの音楽や機材、音楽ビジネス、そしてドラマーの健康管理に関する情報を発信しています。
